The Government of Haryana has established Kalpana Chawla Medical College and Hospital with all modern amenities in the heart of Karnal city in the name of Kalpana Chawla, famous astronaut.The Kalpana Chawla Medical College and Hospital is spread over an area of more than 50 acres at Karnal. With the establishment of this Medical College, the standards of health services have gone up and students have benefited with getting better educational avenues in a congenial environment.

Presently, the hospital has more than 300 beds, whichwill be increased to 700 beds in a phased manner. The hospital has state of the art equipment's and fully functional biochemistry laboratory. The medical college building has all essential departments for 100 MBBS seats as per MCI guidelines including Preclinical, Para clinical and Clinical Departments comprising demonstration rooms, museum, student laboratories and departmental library along with air conditioned central library and lecture theaters. We have provided customized HMIS (Hospital Management Information Solution), PACS (A picture archiving and communication system), QMS (Queue Management System) and managed services to bring operational excellence and enhanced clinical outcomes.
