Chest Diseases Hospital (CDH) is the first and largest tertiary cardiac center in the state of Kuwait. The hospital operations came into patient service since the year 1959.CDH has mainly four departments that includes Adult Cardiology, Adult Cardiothoracic surgery, Pediatric Cardiology and Pediatric Cardiothoracic surgery. Along with Kuwait; it has become a leading facility in whole of GCC. The hospital has capacity of over 230 bed, equipped with 3 operating rooms, 7 catheterization laboratories, 2 intensive care units and 1 cardiac care unit. Chest Diseases Hospital carry out its operation under Ministry of Health, Kuwait.

Outcome

Lifeline CardioScience implemented at Chest Diseases Hospital, Kuwait is enabling the Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery department to go less on paper work. The database is designed with features to serve the clinical and non-clinical paper practice puzzle to be performed easily through the application. Almost 80 % of the clinical parameters are predefined making it easy and user friendly experience for the users. As the modules are inter connected; patient clinical and non-clinical information can be accessed across the department to avoid repeat of information. The application is designed with certain clinical reports that summarizes the trend of the treatment outcomes and therefore contributes to the research case studies performed by Cardiac surgeons. The database is designed with a vision to be interfaced with national repository of STS.
